Biography

As an alumna, Ashley returned to Belmont as a simulation specialist in 2022, where she was responsible for the development, facilitation, and evaluation of simulation-based experiences (SBEs), across the nursing curriculum. In the Fall of 2023, she moved into a full-time faculty role. With a background in obstetrics and women's health, Ashley has a passion for safe care and effective patient education. Throughout her DNP and MBA training, she focused on the effects of health care systems on patient outcomes.

As a follower of Christ, Ashley believes all people are created on purpose, with inherent dignity and worth. She strives to encourage and support students by coupling high standards with high regard. Ashley's goal is for all students to feel valued and experience the love of Christ. In her spare time, Ashley enjoys traveling, reading, and a good cup of coffee with friends and family.

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil." Proverbs 3:5-7
