Biography

Coloratura soprano Angela Yoon is known for her expressive, expansive voice and her ability to bring text vividly to life through music. A winner and finalist in numerous competitions, she has appeared as a soprano soloist and guest artist in recitals, concerts, operas, and oratorios throughout the United States, Canada, Germany, France, South Korea, and Egypt. Her artistry has been featured in radio broadcasts and recordings, and she has performed as both soloist and principal artist in a wide range of sacred and operatic repertoire.

Beyond traditional performance settings, Yoon is deeply committed to creating interdisciplinary and socially engaged musical experiences. She actively collaborates with artists and scholars across disciplines, including visual art, science, history, social justice, and political science, to design programs that invite audiences into meaningful dialogue through music.

Her recent projects include Broken Harmony: Reconstructing ArtColorful Harmony: Melodies from Near and Far, and Songs of Hope: Unveiling Darkness, a concert sharing stories of displacement and resilience. Songs of Hope marked her debut at Carnegie Hall, along with performances at various venues across the U.S. and Canada.

Yoon serves on the voice faculty at Belmont University as the Coordinator of the Vocal Pedagogy Program. In summer 2026, she joins the faculty of American Voices, continuing her commitment to global musical engagement and education.
