Biography
Andrea Runner began her career at Belmont University in August of 2002 and is currently the Director of Event Services. She oversees day-to-day event services and operations functions for all non-academic events on campus.
Andrea has a BS/BA degree from the University of Alabama-Huntsville and a Master’s in Sport Administration from Belmont University. She is a member of IAVM (International Assemble of Venue Managers) and ACCED (Association of Collegiate Conference and Events Directors). Andrea has 18 years of event coordination, management and leadership experience for events such as the CMT Music Awards, CMT Crossroads, CMA Country Christmas, Multiple NCAA Conference and post season Tournaments for D1 Volleyball & D1 Basketball, Presidential Debates in 2008 & 2020, multiple Gubernatorial and Mayoral Debates, multiple tour rehearsals, Author Book Tours, GMA, Christian Conferences and the Davis Cup. She has also obtained the following certifications: Certified Meeting Planner, 2006; IAAM Crowd Management Conferences, 2006, 2007; Graduate of IAAM Public Facility Management School (Oglebay), 2009 & 2010; Certified Trained Crowd Manager, 2011.
The most memorable events Andrea has been a part of at Belmont have been the 2008 and 2020 Presidential Debates, the Davis Cup and CMA Country Christmas.
