Essentially, we hope to bring to discussion anything and everything that interests you, so long as it's got some sort of thoughtful/reflective significance. Like the ancient Athenians, we will select a topic to bring before the group prior to our monthly meetings. If the topic speaks to you, great! Tell us why it does. Tell us where you see/have seen the topic exemplified. Tell us something we can take away from the topic. If the topic doesn't speak to you, be prepared to comment, question, or just listen. Keep an open mind, you might just find something worth your while! As Socrates said: "the unexamined life is not worth living."

In Hebrew, "chadasha" means "new" or "fresh". It was used in the Old Testament, which was originally written in Hebrew, to describe God's interaction with His people. For example, Psalm 51:10 says, "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew [chadash] a right spirit within me". It's a word of deep meaning, of desire, and of great need. It's a word of hope, of peace, and of grace. Chadasha is a Christian choir that seeks to refresh not only its own members, but the whole world. Chadasha partakes in this through passionate music, intimate bible study, and community cultivation.

Belmont’s student body is becoming more diverse. Its cultural & identity (collectively cultural) organizations are growing. The institution has made a commitment to be increasingly student-centered, enhance diversity, create a culture of mutual respect, and embed a strong Christian character in its work in its Vision 2020 strategic plan. All these goals are furthered by supporting our historically underrepresented students. Accordingly, the following proposes a chartered student organization designed for Belmont, its students, and its organizations.
