The French language is useful across many, many career fields, including banking and finance, diplomacy, fashion, and hospitality and tourism, just to name a few. Knowledge of the French language and culture is important for communication in some jobs as well as a personal cultural connector across many, many career fields. Recent graduates of Belmont’s French program have gone on to work as executives in tech companies in Paris, work as marketing specialists for French and French Canadian accounts, and in the fashion industry. Combining a French major with a second major is an excellent way to individualize and highlight your personal strengths and uniqueness.
