Unlikely Friends helps Belmont students from different backgrounds, religions and political beliefs to develop skills that enable them to live and thrive in our increasingly evolving world. These skills necessarily include inhabiting a posture of curiosity and humility, which is essential to character formation. The Unlikely Friends Roadshow is a quick introduction to these skills and understanding why building relationships across difference matters.

A panel of HR representatives discusses the ins and outs of disability accommodations in the workplace.

Tuesday, October 7

*In case of rain, this event will be held in the JAAC 2nd Floor Lobby.*

The Wesley Fellowship is bringing back Bloom Bar this year with an exciting twist! In collaboration with Belmont’s student organization Bridge Builders, they will be handing out free flowers and treats to remind everyone that they belong at Belmont. All are welcome to create their own bouquet; each wrapped with a kind message to affirm that every member of our community has a place here.

Wednesday, October 8

Join us for an engaging panel discussion during Unity Week, focusing on the importance of respect and collaboration in the workplace across different generations. This event will explore the unique perspectives, experiences, and contributions of colleagues from various age groups within our university community. Our panelists will share insights on how multi-generational thoughts strengthens teams, fosters innovation, and enhances belonging. Whether you're a student, faculty member, or staff, this event offers a great opportunity to deepen your understanding of multigenerational dynamics and build a more supportive work environment.

Calling all creatives, poets, singers, musicians and friends! Join us in the Gallery of Iconic Guitars for a special creative showcase during Unity Week 2025. Whether it’s your own original work or a piece by one of your favorite artists or authors, we’d love to hear what inspires you. This gathering is all about celebrating the power of belonging, community, unity, hope, and meaningful relationships.

Thursday, October 9

Join us for a reception and gallery talk! *Forging a Nation* is an interactive storytelling exhibition by recent Experiential Design alum Madison Novak that explores the journey of Kosovo, Europe’s youngest country. Supported by the Lumos Travel Award, this exhibition is the result of a four-month immersion into the lives of Kosovars, capturing their resilience, identity, and hopes for the future. Through firsthand accounts and evolving technology, it invites audiences to engage with the voices of a country forging its place in the world. This event runs from 4:30-6:00pm.

Spanish-speaking physicians will share their perspectives on being bilingual in the medical field and how it shapes their work with patients and communities.

Friday, October 10

Join us for a Student Leader Panel where current Belmont students will share their personal journeys of getting involved on campus. Panelists will reflect on how engaging with student organizations, leadership opportunities, and campus activities has helped them build community, discover their passions, and strengthen their sense of belonging at Belmont.

SOUL Connections: Building Unity Together invites College of Education students to engage in collaborative reflection and action planning centered on unity, belonging, and community, guided by Belmont’s SOUL pillars.
