Degree Requirements

Students in Global Leadership Studies can earn a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree or a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree. The type of degree earned depends upon the program of study you select. A global leadership studies degree at Belmont University requires a minimum of 128 credit hours. Requirements under the 2022-2023 catalog can be found using the links below:

Bachelor of Science (B.S.)
The B.S. degree is a liberal arts degree by design and allows you the flexibility to enroll in coursework that will customize your education for the type of work or graduate school program you will pursue after graduation.You will gain a strong foundation in your program of interest and minor in an additional area of interest in another academic college. 

General Education (BELL Core) Requirements: 53-56 credit hours

Bachelor of Arts  (B.A.)
You have the option of pursuing a B.A. degree instead of a B.S. degree. While  the B.A.possess the same coursework, you will incorporate two foreign language courses at the intermediate or advanced levels into your general education.This degree path is beneficial for students who think they may want to work abroad or believe they will use a foreign language in their work.
