Student Mail Services

ATTENTION: If you are expecting a package, you will receive notice via your @pop.belmont.edu account. You will no longer receive a slip in your mailbox. 

Mail Delivery from USPS

The Mail Services Office picks up mail from the Acklen Post Office once daily Monday-Friday in the mornings. All business reply mail is placed with our mail by the Acklen Post Office. Business Reply mail will be sorted and delivered with your normal mail delivery on the day it arrives at the university.

Mail Pick up by the USPS

All outgoing mail is picked up by the USPS service daily Monday-Friday at 3:30 PM

All outgoing mail must be in the mail center by 3:00 PM to be assured that your mail will leave the University on the same day.

STUDENT MAIL AND PACKAGES

  • Student mail will be delivered to each residence hall front desk and the apartment complexes clubhouses. Packages will be held at the Mail Services office for pick up.
  • Package notification will be sent through your pop.belmont.edu account. 

 

Special Mailing Needs:
Please notify Mail Services prior to shipping medications, perishable goods or other items requiring special attention. For emergency-only: Saturday deliveries will be accepted during operating hours of 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

The phone number of the recipient and the Office of Campus Security (615-460-6617) must be included at the time of shipping and emergency packages should be addressed as follows:

Mail sent to students living in campus housing should be addressed as shown below. Mail received at the Mail Services Office that is incorrectly or incompletely addressed will be delayed.

Change of Address:
Students moving within or between campus housing facilities are responsible for:

  • returning a completed change of address form to the Mail Services Office
  • updating their address information through Banner Web
  • notifying regular correspondents of their change in address

Prior to checking out at the end of each semester, students should complete and return a mail forwarding form to the Mail Services Office if living in the Residence Halls. If you are living in the Belmont Commons, Bruin Hills, Thrailkill Hall or the Hillside please turn in a forwarding address to your Resident Director. Mail will be forwarded for 90 days from the date requested on this form. Mail received by the Mail Services Office that does not correspond with a forwarding form will be returned to sender. When forwarding mail, FedEx and UPS shipments are not forwardable. The Mail Services Office will contact you for arrangements for picking up or re-shipping those packages.
