Spend some time with us, and you’ll quickly discover what makes the College of Theology & Christian Ministry at Belmont University so special. We are:

An ecumenical school

Within the College of Theology & Christian Ministry and across campus, you’ll study alongside peers from a variety of backgrounds, representing the many diverse communities of faith in the Christian Church. This is one of the many traits that sets a Belmont education apart. We won’t ask you to change your beliefs. But by placing you among peers who look, think and act differently than you, we will ask you to listen to others, engage in meaningful dialogue and think critically while you engage your community.

Not your typical theologians

Our professors don’t fit easy categorization. Our 20 full-time faculty share in common a unity in Christ and, beyond that, you’ll find an eclectic group of academics, community organizers, musicians, pastors and poets. In a setting where one-on-one relationships with faculty play such a significant role, our different cultures, backgrounds, experiences and personalities provide multiple points of connection while also inspiring you to reframe prior conceptions of the world.

A place for exploration

Whatever your interests, we have a path of study for you, and we encourage you to explore until you find one that fits best with your interests. All undergraduate majors in the College of Theology & Christian Ministry share the same common core of classes, allowing you the flexibility to try out different hats until you find your unique calling. Plus, housed in a University with more than 100 undergraduate programs, we can help you explore other majors or minors to pair with your CTCM degree to expand your future possibilities even further.

Welcoming, personal community

Small class sizes are just the beginning of what we offer students in the College of Theology & Christian Ministry. Here you’ll find a nurturing, welcoming environment where you’re encouraged to ask tough questions. Our faculty members are not only distinguished and well-respected in academic circles, but they’re caring and compassionate, providing you with consistent guidance and support. Engaging student events help to foster a sense of community. And field education in your area of interest helps you gain valuable experience in your future profession. Here you will grow intellectually, emotionally and spiritually.
