Fashion Show

2023 O'More Fashion Show

On Wednesday, April 26th The O’More College of Architecture and Design will present their annual Fashion Show in the Curb Event Center at 7:30 p.m.  The Show is a highly-anticipated event where a rigorous Fashion Design education culminates in an impressive showcase of collections as diverse as the student designers who create them.  The event is a launching pad for emerging designers and groundbreaking talent, providing an up-close look at original designs that are innovative in terms of style and technical execution.

The Juniors were challenged with creating human-centered design capsules, and Seniors have been immersed in their year-long research and execution of work.  The evening will include a reveal of collections where students drew inspiration from personal life experiences, literary examinations, health and mental well-being, and the positive impact that fashion can make in the lives of individuals.

In addition to providing an education that prepares graduates to compete successfully in the demanding fashion industry, we also believe in the transformational power of design.  This year we are excited to continue our partnership with Daybreak Arts a social enterprise non-profit, founded by a Belmont graduate, that creates artistic and economic opportunities for people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity by providing them access to the creative resources needed to achieve personal fulfillment and success.  Seventeen of our Sophomore design students are collaborating with five artists and will be creating collections inspired by their works of art that will also raise awareness and funds for the organization.

Our mission-based approach differentiates us from other programs, and partnering with Tennessee Donor Services and Donate Life Tennessee provides another opportunity for purposeful design.  Our students will be raising awareness for organ and tissue donation.  A staggering statistic is that 20 people die every day waiting for a life-saving transplant.  Organ and tissue donations transform lives, and seven of our Junior design students will be honoring the donors and celebrating life.  Each student has been paired with a recipient of a donation, donated or has a connection with the gift of life, and custom outfits will be created as a celebration.

Join us for an incredible evening of beauty, artistry, craftsmanship and care for others.
