Towering Traditions Orientation Program
The Towering Traditions Orientation Program is designed to welcome new students to Belmont University. The program roots itself in Romans 12:2-5: “2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. 3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. 4 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”
By coming to Belmont students are choosing to live a life different from conforming to the world, but instead a life that will engage and transform it. Belmont is one body, one family that is made up of a diverse group of students. Although we are all unique and have different gifts and abilities we now share a common bond and belong to one another.
Orientation is a mandatory program for all new undergraduate students, first year and transfer, entering Belmont University. Parents are welcomed and encouraged to participate if available.
The Orientation Checklist provides a list of required items to complete before arriving in August to start the Academic Year as well as a number of suggestions of ways to get involved as you enter the Belmont family.
