Jack C. Massey College of Business

The Jack C. Massey College of Business Career Development Center is a comprehensive career services office specifically for current graduate and undergraduate students, and alumni of the Massey College of Business. The Career Development Center provides a wide range of resources to assist students and alumni in conducting job searches and managing their current careers. The mission of the Career Development Center is to help students and alumni explore career options, develop effective job search skills and network with employers.

The Center is located next to the elevator (in MBC 415) on the fourth floor of the Barbara Massey Rogers Center. The Massey Career Development Center hosts four career fairs each year, with 150+ employers in attendance, as well as 20+ interview days for various internships and full-time positions. Additionally, the Center also works with students to build customized career plans, provide individual advising sessions and workshops covering all aspects of the career development process, including resume reviews, job search strategy and interview preparation. The Massey College of Business has incorporated career development into the curriculum for each year of undergraduate degree programs.
  • Freshman Year:
    MGT 1110 The Business Experience - An introductory business course designed to provide students with a framework for understanding the functional areas of business.
  • Sophomore Year:
    MGT 2000 Career Development Workshops - This interactive, hands-on course targeted to sophomores and first semester juniors is designed to prepare students for internships and ultimately full time job search. Course content includes resume preparation, cover letters, interview preparation, and personal branding.
  • Junior and Senior Year:
    MGT 3000 Cooperative Experience - Ths is a formal cooperative education assignment in which the qualifying student works with a participating business organization as an intern for selected period(s) of time. May be repeated, to a maximum credit of six hours.
