Accreditation

The institutional media accurately describe the academic unit, the core counselor education program faculty, and each program and specialty area offered, including admissions criteria, accreditation status, methods of instruction, minimum degree requirements, matriculation requirements, and financial aid information.

The Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), a specialized accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), has granted accreditation to the following programs in Belmont University’s College of Theology and Christian Ministry: the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program (M.A.) and the Marriage, Couples and Family Counseling Mental Health Counseling Degree Programs (M.A.).
