Facilities

The Janet Ayers Academic Center is home to the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. Each classroom space is designed for open conversation and dialogue, both among peers and with professors. On each floor, study and gathering spaces are available for easy access to work individually or collaboratively. On the first floor, you’ll find coffee and dining options to grab before class or to fuel your study sessions. The Janet Ayers Academic Center (or the JAAC, pronounced Jack, as the students call it) is a bright, open and airy space, designed to serve the student body.

The JAAC houses two other colleges along with the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, the College of Sciences & Mathematics and the College of Theology and Christian Ministry. With these colleges, along with a variety of general education courses taught in this building as well, you’re likely to frequently run into friends and have intentional collisions of diverse subject matters, broadening your own academic experience.

Also located within the Ayers Academic Center are a variety of resources for the entire student body. Student-centered services such as learning labs and the Study Abroad office can be found on the first floor. In addition, Belmont’s Chapel is located in this building, offering frequent worship services and special events throughout the academic year.
