Audio Engineering Society

The Audio Engineering Society (AES) is an internationally recognized branch of the only professional society devoted exclusively to audio. AES serves the public, its members, and the industry by researching the latest advances in the ever-changing world of audio technology. Belmont's chapter boasts some 50+ members majoring in AET or Music Business with a Production emphasis.

Belmont University Copyright Society

BUCS is designed to be an educational resource for current copyright issues by introducing guest speakers and activities which promote the study of copyright law. Members gain enriched knowledge of current issues related to copyright law which have many career applications for musicians, law students, and music industry hopefuls.

Bear House Writer Management

Bear House Writer Management is a Belmont University writer management enterprise that is designed to exclusively promote the efforts of selected Belmont songwriters, and provide professional opportunities for industry connections and exposure for students interested in management. The goal of Bear House Writer Management is to integrate driven and talented individuals from each Curb College major to initiate industry competitive song creation and management experience under the expertise of music industry mentorship and Belmont University faculty.

CMA provides undergraduate college students with hands-on opportunities to enhance their skills in marketing and promotion. With the support of CMA and the Country Music community, students gain networking opportunities, unique educational experiences, and leadership training. The innovative campaigns designed by the students will not only promote the Country Music genre and CMA events, but will also serve as distinguished elements to add to any resume.

Curb Cafe

The Curb Cafe is a great on-campus venue in the Curb Event Center that showcases the talent of Belmont students through a variety of outlets – from an ASCAP sponsored Writers' Nights to impromptu open mic nights. Any Belmont student can book the Curb Cafe to showcase their music. In addition, the Curb Cafe hosts other local artists and up-and-coming Nashville musicians.


GRAMMY U Network is a unique and fast-growing community of college students who are pursuing a career in the recording industry. The Recording Academy created GRAMMY U to help prepare college students for their careers in the music industry through networking, educational programs and performance opportunities. GRAMMY U is designed to enhance students' current academic curriculum with access to recording industry professionals to give an "out of the classroom" perspective on the recording industry.

Pipeline Project

The Pipeline Project is a summer program consisting of 9 innovative, self-driven students who have an entrepreneurial and technology-oriented skill set with a strong understanding of emerging trends in the entertainment industry. The student team devotes their summer to open dialogue, research and analysis of industry issues.  Students receive a stipend and campus housing provided by the University at no cost for the student. Any major across campus may apply. 

Service Corps

Belmont Service Corps is designed to offer members opportunities for experiential learning in the entertainment industry, thereby preparing them for their future careers. Service Corps is a student-led group of volunteers who dedicate their time and energy to numerous causes and events for hands-on industry experience. Members are provided with excellent resume building and networking opportunities, along with leadership roles. Past events include the Sundance Film Festival, the Grammy Awards, CMA Fest, the Academy of Country Music Awards, and many more.

Showcase Series

The Belmont Showcase Series is designed to give students real world training in all aspects of live performance production. Students are responsible for planning and executing six large scale concerts and four ASCAP Writer's Nights in a professional manner that highlights the musical and technical talents Belmont students have to offer. Over 100 students each year gain experience in areas such as stage design, lighting, artist management, video production, live sound reinforcement, publicity, and graphic design.
