The music minor is ideal for students who are have an interest in music but who plan to major in another area at Belmont. A music minor can easily be combined with other majors at Belmont. The music minor only takes four semesters to complete.

Instruments of study within the Minor in Music are: Voice, Viola, Violin, Cello, Classical Bass, Harp, Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Euphonium, Tuba, Percussion, Organ, Piano, and Guitar.

The music minor only studies classical music - it does not include any commercial music courses. An audition is required in order to pursue a music minor. Classes for the music minor must be started by the beginning of the sophomore year.
