Biography

Mark was born and raised in Burbank, California and has lived in Tennessee since 2011. After High School, Mark joined the U.S. Army where he retired as a First Sergeant after 22 years of service in both the Army and the National Guard.  His service included two tours in Iraq as well as duty stations in Georgia, Florida, Washington, and Louisiana. During his most recent tour in Iraq, Mark led a personal security detachment for VIP’s and dignitaries at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad. Prior to moving to Tennessee, he worked as a police officer in Louisiana. He has been with Belmont University Office of Campus Security since 2015.  Mark received his B.S. in Political Science from Belmont University and his M.S. from Southern New Hampshire University in Justice Studies, concentrating in Homeland Security/Terrorism. He is also a graduate of the School of Police Staff & Command at Northwestern University Center for Public Safety.
