Biography

Jenel Cassidy has experience and education in both Psychology and Mental Health Counseling. Dr. Cassidy has worked as a mental health counselor in a variety of settings including community mental health, school-based mental health, and 10 years of private practice specializing in treating anxiety and traumatic stress. She is trained in EMDR, Brainspotting, and is certified as an Advanced Clinical Trauma Specialist. Dr. Cassidy is also an approved clinical supervisor (LPC) for the state of Tennessee.

Dr. Cassidy’s research interests focus on childhood trauma, ADHD, deviant behavior & violence, and vicarious trauma. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, American Counseling Association, Tennessee Counseling Association, and Tennessee Licensed Professional Counselor’s Association.
