School of Nursing

For more than 45 years, Belmont University has been preparing nurse professionals for successful careers in health care.  Our graduates have earned a reputation of excellence at hospitals, clinics, organizations and doctor's offices throughout the United States. With degree programs at the bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels, Belmont will provide the mentoring and guidance you will need to meet your goals as a nurse or nurse practitioner. With expertise in areas ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, our knowledgeable, caring faculty is dedicated to offering support to each student.

As a freshman or transfer in our traditional track or a second-degree student in our accelerated track, you will prepare for licensure as a registered nurse (RN).

For individuals who have completed the BSN and gained licensure as an RN, you can continue your education at the master's or doctoral level to prepare for certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). And for those already holding advanced nursing certification, you can earn a DNP in our hybrid post-master's program.
