NEWS:

The Nashville Children’s Choir Holds Auditions

The Nashville Children’s Choir Program is committed to the rehearsal and performance of quality choral music. Three choirs – the Touring Choir, the Concert Choir, and the Preparatory Choir – provide children the opportunity to practice and perform with a group appropriate to age and ability.  Children who will be in third grade through seventh grade in fall, 2012 (current 2nd – 6th graders) are invited to audition for the 2012-2013 year on May 8 or May 15, 2012 at Belmont University.

To request an audition time, follow instructions for New Chorister Auditions on the website http://ncc.belmont.edu.   Neither prior choral experience nor the ability to read music is necessary to audition.   During the audition, children will sing familiar songs, such as “Happy Birthday,” and vocal exercises as part of a group and individually.

Parents and children interested in the Nashville Children’s Choir Program are encouraged to attend the final program presented by the 2011-2012 choirs on Friday, May 4 at 7:00 p.m. in Massey Concert Hall on the campus of Belmont University.
