Mission Opportunities for Students

When we talk about "missions" at Belmont, it is not just about going on trips, but looking for ways to continually participate in the incredible work God’s doing all around us. Belmont on Mission wants to empower and equip students to engage and transform the world, and we seek to provide spiritually significant, vocationally relevant, and sustainable opportunities for our students to do so.

Plunge 2025-2026: Experience a Different Side of Nashville

In past years, Plunge has been a Fall Break mission trip right here in Nashville. But beginning in November, we're turning it into a series of 2-3 weekends of service throughout each semester.

We'll be partnering with some of Nashville's best Christian ministries and non-profit organizations to make an impact all over the city. These experiences are an incredible way to participate in the work God is doing all around us, and they're also a great way to get to know other students at Belmont.

Fall Semester 2025
This fall we plan to serve together November 8-9. For more details click here!

Our Spring Break mission trips are open to all students, and they offer incredible opportunities to be immersed in a local culture and broaden your exposure to what God is doing in other parts of the country and the world. We partner with ministries in both domestic and international locations for Spring Break missions trips, which are led by members of our faculty and staff.

Dates, locations, and applications for each Spring Break mission opportunity are available now on Belmont Global!

Questions can be sent to university.ministries@belmont.edu or call us at 615-460-6419.

In addition to Spring Break mission trips, during the summer months we work with partners across campus to create high-impact, sustainable, short-term missions trips in locations around the globe.

Dates, locations, and applications for summer mission opportunities are available now on Belmont Global!

"I have always held such a strong desire to go on mission trips, but I have never had the means to do so. My heart has been really touched this week. I went into this trip knowing that I could help make a difference in the lives of others, but I never expected the difference they would make in mine."

Local Service Initiatives

Through ongoing partnerships with local organizations, students can go "Into Nashville" on a consistent basis to participate in the work of local missions, social justice, and community impact. This program exposes Belmont students to the many unique communities of Nashville and offers insight on how to engage and embrace people who live at the margins of society.
