Ranked No. 5 in the Regional Universities South category and named for the seventh consecutive year as one of the top “Up-and-Comer” universities by U.S. News & World Report, Belmont University consists of approximately 7,300 students who come from every state and more than 25 countries. 

Belmont has also significantly expanded its physical campus in the last decade with the addition of numerous new academic buildings, new residence halls and more than 2,800 new parking spaces. Two new academic buildings, a dining hall, and a new residence hall are also currently under construction with scheduled openings in 2014 and 2015.

As all Belmont undergraduates complete an innovative general education program with significant interdisciplinary components, Belmont University is particularly seeking applicants who demonstrate the interest and ability to work collaboratively in course design and to teach interdisciplinary and topical courses in this program. We offer free or reduced tuition to yourself, spouse and children for classes taken at Belmont. Belmont is also Member of the Tuition Exchange program along with over 600+ institutions providing average $24,000 annual scholarships for faculty dependents.

Ride to work for free

Since 2005, Belmont has offered free transportation to and from campus thanks to a partnership with Nashville’s Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA).  This includes MTA buses and the Music City Star rail system.

Health care and retirement benefits

Belmont offers generous health, dental and vision insurance, as well as a 403b retirement plan with matching of up to 5% after one year of eligibility service at any higher education institution.
