Group Fitness

Group Fitness classes are a great way for participants to build new relationships in a positive and encouraging environment while getting a great workout!  Some of FitRec's most popular classes include Zumba, Pilates, Yoga, Spin, and Cardio Dance With over 40 classes each week, we are sure there is a class for you! Below, you can find a copy of the current group fitness schedule.


All group fitness classes will allow advanced registration for participants that will open 72 hours prior to each class. This can be done in person at the Beaman Information Desk, or online at

To register for group fitness classes, use the directions below.

1. Follow the link to connect you to the online portal, FitRec Connect 
2. Select “Sign In”.  Select “MyBelmont Login” to the right if you are a student, faculty or staff member.  For all other users and follow prompts. & Choose “Use My Local Account” if you do not have a BUID. 
3. If selected “Use My Local Account” this will prompt you to use “Already Have An Account? Your username will be “first.last” For example, susie.jean and your password will be 1900Belmont & after you login, it will prompt you to create a password of your own!
4. Once you are logged in, click the group fitness icon in the middle of the page.
5. Click on the class title you are registering for and all open classes will be listed.  Remember that registration opens 72 hours before the scheduled day and time of the class.
6. Proceed to check out & your name will automatically be registered for the program! If you did it correctly you should receive a confirmation email.

To cancel a group fitness class registration:

1. Follow the directions above to log-in to your account.
2. Click your name in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
3. Click “profile”, then click “programs” and “registrations” on the left.
4. You’ll have the option to click “cancel” next to the class you’ve booked.

You do not have to register beforehand. In fact, our FitRec staff can register you at the door but if the class is full, you will not be able to participate in that class. Walk-ups will be given space on a first-come, first-served basis. Pre-registering saves your spot but appropriate measures will be taken if a patron repeatedly fails to show up for their reservation.

If you find that a class is full online, still come to the Beaman because there is a possibility you will be able to get into the class if any of the registered participants do not show up. Be there 10-15 minutes early to be first on the waitlist!

Group Fitness Class No-Show Policy

When you register for a class, your spot will be saved in that class until the start time of the class. If you have not checked-in by the start time of the class, your spot may be given to a waitlisted participant and you will be considered a “No-Show”. Failure to arrive by the start of class for three or more group fitness classes without properly canceling will result in pre-registration suspension for the entirety of the semester. If you know you're going to be late, please call the Beaman Information Desk at 615-460-6313, let the facility assistant on shift know you are running late, and your spot will be held for up to five minutes after the class start time.  To cancel a reservation, please follow the directions listed below!
