NON-APPROVED STUDY ABROAD PROGRAM COSTS

Students choosing to participate in a non-approved study abroad program for the semester or academic year will have to withdraw from the university. Belmont financial aid does not follow the student. Please consult with Student Financial Services (615-460-6403) for information regarding federal financial aid and withdrawals.

Additionally, students choosing to participate in a non-approved Belmont program over summer break must gain approval for Concurrent Enrollment from the Office of the Registrar prior to registration for the program. Students should not submit a concurrent enrollment proposal when taking foreign credits unless a faculty member is certified to articulate the transfer credits similar to our faculty contacts for exchange partnership programs.

NOTE: Students studying abroad on a non-approved study abroad program must receive a transcript from a US School of Record or have their academic work abroad evaluated by World Education Services or an evaluation service currently listed as a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) in order to transfer the credit back into Belmont. Costs are associated with this process.
