Academic Program

The Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH) is designed to be completed in four years. Beginning in the second year, public health majors complete core public health course requirements, namely in epidemiology, environmental health, biostatistics, health policy and management and social and behavioral aspects of public health. Classroom and laboratory activities are supplemented by rich field work experiences in clinical, research, health policy or community health settings in local and international settings. The major is complimented by general education and elective courses, offered exclusively during the first year and then spread across remaining years. Students who transfer into the program will be advised with an individual plan to complete the program in a timely manner.
