About Us

AustinLargeWelcome to Belmont University School of Physical Therapy!

Over the last twenty years, the motto of the Belmont University DPT Program has been “Our students and our graduates are our credentials.”  The Belmont DPT team of staff, faculty, and students work together to make this phrase a distinguishing trait of our program. While the rigorous curriculum, built on the medical model, challenges students academically, the program provides the support necessary for students to succeed. We strive to create an “extended family environment” while maintaining professional relationships. With open classrooms and laboratories, our state of the art facilities and cutting-edge technologies support research and teaching.  The faculty are outstanding educators who maintain contemporary clinical expertise and are dedicated to molding excellent clinicians. Our goal is to prepare physical therapists who are compassionate providers, transformational leaders, and evidence-based clinicians committed to life-long learning, critical thinking, and inter-professional collaboration.

I look forward to meeting you soon and hope we can talk more about your goals and aspirations in physical therapy. Please do not hesitate to contact me at or 615.460.6767. Thanks again for considering physical therapy education at Belmont University!
