FitRec FitPacks

While FitRec may not be open for in-person fitness activities, we understand the importance of continued and regular physical activity during these challenging times. Because of this, FitRec is offering a new program to students that grants them the ability to check out FitPacks to be used in their residence hall or on-campus apartment. Whether it be a yoga- or strength-themed pack, FitRec has what you need to continue prioritizing physical activity all semester long! Additionally, FitRec will be incorporating these pieces of equipment into our Zoom Group Fitness Classes, Workouts of the Week, and other informational series posted on our social media outlets. Follow the conversation on @BUFitRec and @BUFitWell for more, and see below for a detailed breakdown of each FitPack and instructions on how to reserve one.

Checking Out/ Reserving a FitPack
To check out or reserve a FitPack, Students can either call or stop by the Beaman Information Desk. Once a student has checked out their desired pack, they will have 7 days to utilize them before they must be returned to the Beaman Information Desk. Once a pack is returned, they will go through an extensive cleaning and sanitization process following CDC guidelines before they can be checked out again.

Group Fitness Update

Group-Fitness-.jpgFitRec has created a virtual group fitness class library that students can access as a playlist on the Belmont University YouTube page. Classes are a variety of lengths and feature different formats, including boot camp, yoga, and more! The coolest part about these classes is that they are led by student instructors and feature music submitted by Belmont students! FitRec will periodically update this playlist with new classes, so be sure to follow FitRec on social media for future releases.

FitRec is also releasing weekly “Workouts of the Week” that students and other members of the Belmont community will be able to follow throughout the semester. These workouts will be perfect for a fitness practitioner who wants to work out, but doesn’t want to be bothered by writing workouts. These workouts can be completed with little to no equipment and can be completed from the comfort of your home or in a fitness center. Students, faculty, and staff will be able to find these workouts by following FitRec on Instagram (@BUFitRec).

FitRec is also offering a weekly schedule of "live" classes hosted via Zoom. These classes last about 30 minutes and feature various formats, such as Cardio Dance, Yoga, and Strength! Students can sign up for these classes in the same way that they would for traditional group fitness classes. To sign up, please visit and reserve your spot today. Reservations can be made up to three days in advance. Information regarding access will be communicated via email following reservation.
