Group Fitness Update

Group-Fitness-.jpgFitRec has created a virtual group fitness class library that students can access as a playlist on the Belmont University YouTube page. Classes are a variety of lengths and feature different formats, including boot camp, yoga, and more! The coolest part about these classes is that they are led by student instructors and feature music submitted by Belmont students! FitRec will periodically update this playlist with new classes, so be sure to follow FitRec on social media for future releases.

FitRec is also releasing weekly “Workouts of the Week” that students and other members of the Belmont community will be able to follow throughout the semester. These workouts will be perfect for a fitness practitioner who wants to work out, but doesn’t want to be bothered by writing workouts. These workouts can be completed with little to no equipment and can be completed from the comfort of your home or in a fitness center. Students, faculty, and staff will be able to find these workouts by following FitRec on Instagram (@BUFitRec).

FitRec is also offering a weekly schedule of "live" classes hosted via Zoom. These classes last about 30 minutes and feature various formats, such as Cardio Dance, Yoga, and Strength! Students can sign up for these classes in the same way that they would for traditional group fitness classes. To sign up, please visit fitrecconnect.belmont.edu and reserve your spot today. Reservations can be made up to three days in advance. Information regarding access will be communicated via email following reservation.

Personal Training Update

Personal-Training.jpgFitRec is extremely excited to announce that it will be offering virtual workout programming with our certified personal trainers to all members of the Belmont community at NO CHARGE while the Fitness Center is closed. This incredible virtual programming opportunity will include an onboarding session where clients will discuss their training experience and goals with their trainer. Once they receive a program, additional check-ins will be scheduled as needed to track progress, answer questions, and modify programming accordingly. Students, faculty, and staff will be able to sign up for virtual workout programming by submitting a Personal Training Interest Form and selecting the appropriate service option. Once a form has been submitted, FitRec’s personal training team will contact an interested client based on client preferences and trainer availability.

FitRec will also be releasing virtual educational programs to support the university’s commitment to provide WELL-Core programming during this season. Be sure to follow FitRec on BruinLink to be notified when new events/programs are posted and released.
