COVID-19 DATA REPORTING

Updated May 16, 2022

The COVID-19 Dashboard will not be updated each week throughout summer 2022.

In order to keep our community informed, during the school year, Belmont University provides weekly reports each Monday on campus vaccination and test positivity rates, as well as reported positive COVID-19 cases within the campus community. Test reporting is based on positive tests administered or confirmed by Belmont Health Services for students, faculty and staff who are living, working or attending in-person classes on Belmont’s campus in Nashville. Positive tests that are not reported to and/or confirmed by Health Services are NOT reflected in this data.

Campus Vaccination Rates as of 5/9/22

"Faculty" includes full-time and adjunct. "Staff" and "Students" include full-time and part time.

Reported vaccination percentages may vary slightly from week to week due to fluctuations in actual numbers of students, faculty and/or staff at any given time.

COVID-19 Test Positivity Rate

At Belmont, the weekly positivity rate is calculated based on tests administered by Belmont Health Services. The positivity rate is the number of positive test results divided by the number of individuals tested in a given week. This method for calculating positivity rates can vary among organizations, employers, and/or institutions.

CITY AND STATE-WIDE DATA

Among many other data points being monitored by Belmont leadership are those for metropolitan Nashville and the state of Tennessee. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County maintains a COVID-19 response dashboard, ASafeNashville.org, with information and data on the coronavirus’ impact locally and the current phase of reopening for the county. The State of Tennessee dashboard offers similar information on conditions within the state and within each county in the state.
