Due to COVID-19 restrictions, 2021 Summer Music Camps are limited to day-only experiences. No residential options will be offered. Camp format and schedules are subject to change with campus protocols. Participants will be notified of modifications by May 1.
The Belmont University Summer Winds Band Camp is a unique summer camp event for high school students entering grades 9-12 (ages 14-18). Camp students study under the artistic guidance of the outstanding Belmont instrumental and ensemble faculty. Opportunities include large ensemble, chamber music, and class lessons.

Daily Schedule
Students will be involved in large ensemble rehearsals, chamber music sessions, and class lessons on their instrument. Students will be assigned to a chamber group that will best fit their playing experience and strengths. Class lessons are taught by the Belmont applied wind and percussion faculty, giving each student the opportunity to receive personal attention. Students are under careful supervision by camp counselors during all activities.
Eligibility
The camp is open to all woodwind, brass, and percussion students who will enter grades 9-12 in the upcoming fall semester. Participants must be age 14 upon the first day of camp.
2021 Cost
Commuter Participant: $250 ($100 application fee applies to this amount)
This includes:
- Lunch (Monday-Friday)
- Tuition for large ensemble, chamber music, and master classes
- Camp t-shirt
