Office of Career & Professional Development Professionalism Award
This award recognizes a Belmont student who has demonstrated integrity, resilience, accountability and ethical behavior through his/her work as a student employee or through an internship. This award is presented annually to a student who consistently showed initiative, projected a professional presence and maintained effective work habits that produced high quality results. In order to be eligible to receive the Professionalism Award, students must meet the following criteria:

The nominee must be a current, undergraduate student during the year in which they are nominated.

The nominee must have been enrolled as a Belmont student for at least two semesters.

The nominee must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5. This will be checked upon receiving the student’s nomination.

Must have worked as a student employee or as an intern during the academic year.

Must demonstrate the Professionalism/Work Ethic Career Readiness Competency on a regular basis. The AAC&U has also identified essential learning outcomes for college students; click here for more information and to see the overlap of the competencies.
Nominations are solicited from Internship Coordinators and Student Employment Hiring Managers in early spring each year. The award winner(s) are chosen by Office of Career & Professional Development staff and are recognized during the Campus-Wide Student Leadership Awards in April.
