Faculty Testimonials
I feel invigorated in a new way to incorporate career readiness knowledge and tools in my courses and in a more overt way so that students understand how they are developing skills for their future jobs from day 1 at Belmont. It's not just teaching them about a subject, our job is to help them understand how their study of this subject will enhance their personal and professional development. Working with colleagues across campus during these sessions allowed for interesting conversations and useful sharing of techniques that will benefit my future planning for courses. I believe these tools and resources are beneficial and helpful to all faculty and hope to have the opportunity to pay forward to my department about what I have learned and encourage others to attend.
The Career Readiness Academy gave me a wonderful perspective on how to incorporate the eight career readiness competencies into my student learning outcomes. The material was practical and easy to implement. Collaborating with a number of colleagues from different academic areas really got ideas flowing! A great opportunity to think about how you are preparing students in these areas.
I loved the Career Readiness Academy! It helped me recognize the need to be diligent about ways to enhance my teaching with career readiness tools. And, it provided a wealth of information and career readiness activities for use in my classroom.
The Career Readiness Academy was a great opportunity to learn specific activities to best integrate critical thinking into my courses. I found the exchange of ideas among participants helpful. Jeremy is an amazing professor and presented the content with great enthusiasm making it easy to engage and learn. Highly recommend the program!
