Jon Blankenship

i started at Belmont:
august '08

responsibility...
I make sure that www.Belmont.edu, and the best marketing plan ever, beBELMONT, are awesome. If I were a baseball player, I'd be a utility player who does lots of things. I'd probably also make more money. And drive a '67 Shelby GT 500 like Eleanor in "Gone in 60 Seconds." And have a golf course in our yard.

what i do when I'm not working...
spend time with my wife Anne, dog Josie, play in our huge yard which is actually about .05 acres, play golf, kickball, watch and attend lots of sporting events and concerts and listen to sporting events and concerts. There's also the occasional book. And I hate cold weather with the fire of 1,000 suns.

favorite music...
U2, Jimmy Buffett, OAR, Beatles, Stones, Aerosmith, 80s!!! and pretty much whatever I'm in the mood for. Right now, I'm all about the synthesizer sounds of the 80s.

favorite movie or tv...
at this moment, Anchorman and the Indiana Jones films, but there are so many. TV right now, Happy Endings, Curb

favorite cartoon...
Transformers. Fact: this is the best cartoon ever.

last book I read...
Unbroken, by Laura Hillebrand If you haven't read this, you should stop whatever it is that you are doing right now and go buy it or download it on your gadget.

best vacation ever...
the ones where I wasn't at work.

favorite quote...
"Now, we must all fear evil men. But there is another kind of evil which we must fear most, and that is the indifference of good men." Monsignor from "The Boondock Saints"
