Leigh Hitchcock, BA, M.Div
Student Services Coordinator
I am the Student Services Coordinator for Adult Degree
Programs. I work with adult students from
the first inquiry all the way to graduation and beyond.
Adult students have different needs than traditional students, and my job is to meet the needs of adult students outside of the classroom. As Student Services Coordinator, I plan orientation sessions to get you off to a great start as well as special events throughout the year to give you opportunities to connect with other adult students.
In addition, one of my roles is to assist students with Convocation, a component of Belmont’s general education curriculum. Even after graduation, you’ll receive invitations to attend special alumni events specifically for our adult student graduates.
I earned a BA from University of Richmond and a Master of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to coming to Belmont in 2011, I worked in Florida as a social worker. Watching adult students achieve their dream of finishing a degree is the most rewarding part of my job.
