A Learning Partnership Between
Belmont University and the Nashville Ballet

Katie Vasilopoulos

The purpose of this partnership is to encourage the dancers of the Nashville Ballet Company, especially Nashville Ballet Company 2 (NB2) dancers, to work toward completion of their college degrees.

A dancer's training and the professional demands of a full-time dance career can make it difficult to prepare for the career transition that every dancer must face.

Launched in 2009, the Belmont University/Nashville Ballet Learning Partnership makes it possible for these dancers to receive a liberal arts education and earn a Bachelor's degree from Belmont University through part-time study. Courses are offered at convenient times and the program's flexibility encourages dancers to pursue individual interests and explore different disciplines.
