Eight Week Evening Class Formats and Schedule
Eight Week classes are an intensive learning experience. These courses meet once a week for 4 hours and also include 2 hours of online coursework through Blackboard. There are five 8-week sessions during the academic year: Fall I and Fall II; Spring I and Spring II; and Summer.
Eight Week Session Quick Facts
- The traditional fall and spring semesters are each 15 weeks in length. Because the two 8-week sessions that occur in fall and spring total 16 weeks in length, classes are staggered so that as the first 8-week session ends, the second eight-week session begins the very next night.
- The traditional summer schedule is 10 weeks in length, but there is only one 8-week session scheduled in the summer. Because of summer vacations and holidays,it is up to the individual professor to schedule 8 weeks of class meetings over that 10 week traditional summer schedule.
