First-Year Orientation Schedule

 

Day 1 Schedule

For Day 1, students and parents will attend multiple sessions narrating the story of the “First-Year Experience”. Sessions will revolve around academic life, educational investment, student involvement, and other elements shaping life at Belmont. Music majors will take placement tests on Day 1 for academic placement in classes. Students and parents will also take tours of their residential communities and explore Belmont dining options on campus. In the evening, students will begin the student-only portion of the orientation process. Students will have an opportunity to meet current students and socialize with fellow new bruins during the fiesta dance party!

Starting at lunch, transfer students will move into the student-only portion of orientation. Students will spend the afternoon divided by academic college, providing an opportunity to meet students, faculty, and staff in their respective major. Students will also complete academic planning and register for their fall courses.
