Set Design

Set Design from Waiting for Godot

The Theatre Department at Belmont University offers opportunities in set design. Stage sets are designed, constructed, and painted by students. Here is a sampling of some of our student designed sets from our past productions.

Waiting for Godot stage set designed and construction supervised by sophomore Maddy Rhodes, costumes by junior Taylor Crow. A highly stylized set of a desolate road that meanders under a bridge next to a tree where Didi and Gogo wait for Godot.

Set Design from The Diviners

The Diviners stage set designed by senior Roxanne Benjamin, costumes by junior Taylor Crow. A unit set representing rural Indiana in the 1930's with multiple locations represented including a diner, three homes, various wooded areas, a general store, a repair shop, and a river.
