Belmont in Haiti & the Dominican Republic: One Island, Two Cultures

May 13, 2015 - May 29, 2015
Compare the two cultures of Haiti and the Dominican Republic and explore issues of poverty and justice. Combine classroom experiences with volunteer work at the Live Beyond orphanage in Haiti and develop a better understanding of how to promote the health of the world's peoples. Immerse yourself in the culture of the Dominican Republic while comparing public health and private health institutions, participating in a community service project and working with the International Justice Mission.
