Victoria University is located in Melbourne, Australia.  The main campus at Footscray Park is about 10-12 minutes from city center by train.

Housing

Student Village (15-20 minutes via public transportation)

Very basic housing, no meal plan, private bedroom, shared bathroom between two to three bedrooms and multiple shared kitchens for cooking.  Student Village provides many planned social activities.

Victoria Place (walking distance to Footscray Park) is apartment style living for one, two or three occupants.   No meal plan, but each apartment has its own kitchen, bathroom, and laundry.

Student Life

Students have multiple opportunities to get involved both on and off campus, and the VU International office makes sure that students can get connected to make the most out of their time. 

During the first week of school the univeristy has an orientation week, also known as O-Week, and there will be a chance to learn about all the clubs and societies that VU has to offer.  There are many leadership groups, sports clubs, student societies and volunteer opportunities to choose from.

Victoria University International has a program called Aussie Mates for Internationals (AMI) designed to help students with orientation, social networking, adjusting to life in another country among many other things.  Students are paired up with an Australian counterpart.

Location

The university and the city of Melbourne have a lot to offer in the way of cultural activities.  Melbourne is known to have a festival going on all the time ranging from arts to music to sports and food.
