Belmont in New York City: Talent Buying & Concert Promotion Strategies in NYC: CLOSED

This course focuses upon the business of buying, booking, and selling entertainment.  The course will involve an in-depth, real world look at routing, offers & contracts, negotiating deal points & riders, promoting & producing live events, and show settlement.  Industry experts will explain contract provisions; including indemnification, breach, liability, and force majeure; and discuss the financial positions of the varied stakeholders. Students will job shadow top booking agents, concert promoters, and venue executives in New York City.

Study Justice and Reconciliation in the Lakota Sioux and Eastern Shoshone/Northern Arapaho cultures at the Pine Ridge, SD, and Wind River, WY reservations, as well as hike and study in the Black Hills, South Dakota and Yellowstone National Park, WY.
