Jordan: Amman
Semester, Year, Summer
With its reputation for security and hospitality, Amman, Jordan, provides a safe and stable environment for students to study abroad in the Middle East, the Arabic language, or the challenges facing international diplomacy and policy today. While studying abroad at a Jordanian educational institution, you’ll get a glimpse into an ancient history and a diverse, vibrant modernity. Amman is an accessible, cosmopolitan city with numerous museums, art galleries, theaters, and cinemas. With its reputation for security and hospitality, Amman is home to inhabitants from all over the Middle East. Develop Arabic language skills by studying with native Jordanian professors, who work with you on reading, writing, oral production, and comprehension so later in the semester or year, you can take courses like history and religion in Arabic. Homestays, peer language tutors, excursions, and volunteering opportunities all contribute to your ability to bridge Western and Arab cultures by speaking Arabic well.
