At a Glance

Nebrija University, a Belmont Exchange partner, has an enrollment of 5000 and receives students from all over the world who wish to spend a period of their academic training at the university. In the majority of programs, they attend classes side by side with Spanish students. Students can take courses in their area of specialization, design their own curriculum (taking courses of their choice), or take only courses in Spanish Language and Culture to enhance their level of Spanish.

Dates vary from year to year, but terms typically follow the following timeline:

Integrated Program with Spaniards

Spring Semester: Early February – Mid-June

Fall Semester: Mid-September – Late January

Hispanic Studies Program

Spring Semester: Early February – Mid-May

Fall Semester: Mid-September – Mid-December

Summer: June or July

Language Requirement

Integrated Program with Spaniards: Courses in Spanish and require a minimum level of Spanish. A pre-admission placement test from the Universidad Nebrija is available.

Hispanic Studies Program: No previous Spanish level requirement. Courses taught in English and Spanish.

Areas of Study

International Relations, Business Administration, Audiovisual Communications, Journalism, Advertising/Public Relations, Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Modern Languages and Translation.

Housing

Students may participate in home stays or they may choose to live in university residences.

Student Life

Nebrija University Hispanic Studies Programs include six complementary activities, including movies, conferences, guided walks through old Madrid, visits to the Prado Musem, Archaeological Museum, Royal Palace, Senate, Congress, etc. Nebrija's Sports Club organizes activities for all students who might be interested in participating in sport. The International Club promotes cultural exchanges among students of different nationalities. The Club organizes a number of cultural and leisure activities. International students have access to all activities and general services (libraries, computer labs, sports facilities, etc.) and all extra-curricular activities.

The university is located in the center of Madrid, the capital and most populous city in Spain.
