Universität Regensburg is a public research university located in the medieval city of Regensburg, Bavaria (pop. 150,000). Over 21,000 students attend the university, including 1500 international students. The city of Regensburg is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

All courses are taught in German. Students will take the Intensive German Language Course (ILC) 4-6 weeks prior to the start of the semester to improve their German language skills. Student assistants will support and advise the participants during the entire program.

Housing

Dormitories are located throughout Regensburg with good bus connections to campus (bus ticket is included in the student ID card). Rooms are singles with shared kitchen and bathrooms. A limited number of rooms with own kitchen and bathroom are available. There is a €260 refundable deposit and a €165 non-refundable room booking fee.

Student Life

The international office offers support to all international students, including orientation, guided tours at the university and in the city of Regensburg, as well as excursions and trips in Bavaria and Germany.
