Ecole de Management de Normandie (EM Normandie), a Belmont Exchange partner, was founded in 1871 and has three campuses in Normandy, a beautiful region in the North-West of France. The two larger campuses, in Le Havre and Caen, each have around 1,000 students.

Belmont students study in Caen, which is the capital of a region renowned throughout the world, Lower-Normandy, with a population of 250,000.  EM Normandie has about 2,600 students in total and each year hosts 250 visiting students from 20 different countries.

Language Requirement

Exchange students are able to take classes at the bachelor or master levels, depending on their classification at their home institution. All international students are also able to take a French language class. Students must follow a set program of five courses each semester.

EM Normandie also offers double-degree programs for Belmont students at the undergraduate and graduate business levels.  Students who complete a full year at EM Normandie in one of the following programs earn a degree from EM Normandie in addition to their Belmont degree (assuming they complete all requirements towards their Belmont degree).

Bachelor in European Business: A 2-semester program focused on business in the enlarged European context.  An ideal springboard for doing business or further master’s studies in Europe.

Master in Cross-Cultural Marketing and Negotiation: A 1-year program designed to develop students’ knowledge, skills and personal qualities necessary to communicate in cross cultural contexts, and to manage or work well in multi-cultural teams. Adds an intercultural perspective to a business management education with a focus on marketing and negotiation issues.

Master in International Business: A 1-year program designed for middle managers and team leaders intending to work internationally which provides students with not only theoretical knowledge but also operational training.

Master in Supply Chain Management: A 1-year program focused on the strategic role of operations management networks and global supply and demand networks.

Caen has excellent motorways and train connections with Paris, which can be reached in less than two hours.  Caen is a beautiful historical and university town minutes away from the famous Normandy beaches.  The unique situation of the campus, in the heart of the English Channel economic area, is halfway between Paris and London.
