TCU students must live in the school's dormitories; all rooms are doubles. The four dormitories are managed by the Student Affairs Department and by the students themselves on the basis of the “Tokyo Christian University Dormitory Bylaws.” Each dorm has two kitchen facilities with a microwave, small oven, rice cooker, refrigerator, and cooking utensils. Each dorm has a lounge and bathing facilities (both shower and Japanese style “ofuro”), and each of the three floors in both dormitories has prayer rooms, bathrooms, and a laundry room equipped with washing machines and dryers.

Student Life

There are many on-campus opportunities for music groups, choir, clubs (called “circles”), concerts, intramural athletic events, exercise, prayer groups, student government, and just relaxing. EAI students are provided with guided field trips and the opportunity for home stays with Japanese families. Students are also encouraged to explore the vast cultural resources in the Tokyo area, such as the innumerable museums, concerts, dramatic productions, art-exhibits, technical shows, public lectures, and sporting events.

TCU is situated in a park-like setting and "green zone" city near Narita International Airport and downtown Tokyo.
