Film Series
Each semester, the Sociology Club offers film screenings for Belmont students that relate to sociological issues. In the past, we've emphasized the subjects of gender, race, religion, and violence, among other topics. These screenings are part of Belmont University's Convocation Program which is designed to provide students with experiential learning opportunities that encourage students to pursue life-long learning; to value the visual and performing arts; and to explore issues relevant to life, culture, and faith, among other goals. (For more see www.belmont.edu/convocation)
Each screening will include a brief discussion led by students from the Sociology Club , Professors Andi Stepnick, and Ken Spring...with participation from audience members! Academic Lecture Convocation credit will be awarded for Belmont University students.
