The Boulevard Team is a diverse group of student volunteers who assist the Office of University Marketing & Public Relations and the Social Media Administration Team in the planning and implementation of Belmont social media and digital marketing initiatives. Students on the team will gain valuable experience in the planning and creation of social content and marketing. The goal of the team is to help Belmont create meaningful and engaging content across various social networks to better connect with our student body and online community. The team will also be utilized in implementing broader University Marketing initiatives.
Who can join?
The Boulevard Team is open to all Belmont undergraduate and graduate students who have skills in content planning and creation for social media, web and video.
Boulevard Team members will assist in the planning and implementation of Belmont web, social media and video marketing. Members will also assist in generating content for social media each week and during Belmont sponsored events (e.g., Preview Days, athletics events, speakers, concerts). Team members will also assist the Social Media Administration Team in the various “Class of” Facebook groups. Members will be expected to sign a confidentiality and intellectual property agreement and follow both the Code of Conduct Standards outlined in the Bruin Guide as well as follow the standards set forth in Belmont’s social media acceptable use policy. Boulevard members are also expected to attend weekly content/strategy meetings.
Application and Membership
Applications will be accepted through September 11. Qualified applicants will be invited to interview in late September. Each applicant will be evaluated based on:
- Knowledge and experience of social networks and digital media
- Skills and experience in planning and creating digital content
- Level of engagement with various student activities
- Time commitment available
