Get Connected

Invitation to Community Based Agencies

Belmont has an exciting new way for community based agencies to help better communicate their needs and opportunities with our students, faculty and staff.  Belmont is using the Get Connected software platform developed by Galaxy Digital to allow agencies to post information about their agency, including needs (volunteer opportunities) and events (things to attend, but not as a volunteer), and give you a tool to enlist and manage our student volunteers coming to your agency for service-learning and other community service opportunities.  Get Connected is used by numerous United Way agencies around the country, and Galaxy has recently adapted it to more easily support the work that colleges and universities do in the area of service-learning and community service.

In order to have access to the Get Connected system and to insure that the interests of all parties are addressed, Belmont asks each agency to participate in an initial online training, provide a Certificate of Insurance ($1 million liability minimum), and if wishing to be considered as a "partner agency" for possible service-learning opportunities, complete a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) annually.
