The role of Congress is to serve as representatives for all Belmont students. Each congress member is required to serve on at least one SGA committee:

All Congress members must be in good standing with Belmont University. Congress members run for office in the fall and/or spring elections, and are elected by the Belmont student body. All legislative powers of the Student Government Association are vested in the Student Congress. The following students comprise Congress for the 2006-2007 school year:
