Fran Hoogestraat, Ed.D.
Dr. Fran Hoogestraat holds a Doctorate of Education in Higher Education Administration from Vanderbilt; Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from Vanderbilt; and Bachelor of Science in Speech Communications from South Dakota State University.
Prior to assuming the position with Belmont's Sport Administration program in 2005, Dr. Hoogestraat was an academic counselor and coached track and field at Vanderbilt University. In her role as academic counselor, she worked closely with Student Life, Athletic Training, Life Skills, Career Development and all sports. Dr. Hoogestraat used this position to challenge and guide the students in a direction that would prepare them to be marketable and successful in the workplace.
